The newly released Tesla Model 3 Highland will now have the feature after installing the update. Tesla has also activated the feature in the Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck, all of which come with Ultra-wideband support.
Another feature included in the update, which was uncovered in the software code, is “smart child seats.” This will notify parents when they inadvertently leave a child in the car while locking up. This addition could be a lifesaver, as there have been reported cases of children succumbing to heatstroke when stranded in an overheated car.
Tesla has added a new navigation function in this update. The navigation system can now alert drivers to hazards ahead through safety icons and signs. This potentially means Tesla drivers can now escape speed traps and learn of accidents on the road.
